FEES & ADOPTION POLICY

An adoption fee of $90 is charged for each Haven dog.

The fee covers required spaying/ neutering, current vaccinations, deworming, microchip identification, and general care of the animals (food, medication, vet care, etc.).

Adoption fees do not cover each pet's expenses, but only partially helps to offset them.

An interview with a Haven volunteer is required to verify that the placement is appropriate. The Haven seeks the best possible homes for the animals in our care.

An adoption application must be completed and signed, and approved by a Haven volunteer for each adoption. Link to Adoption Application in HTML or PDF (PDF requires Acrobat Reader). Print and complete form and return to The Haven for Dogs, Inc.

If for any reason you become unable to care for the pet you adopt, the animal must be returned to The Haven.

We do not have a "shelter". Our dogs and puppies are all housed in our volunteer foster homes.
